"Our Family, Helping Yours"
After a decade of successfully representing large corporations and governmental entities as a trial attorney, Autumn opened Scardina Family Law to seize the opportunity to apply her passion for advocacy, tenacity for problem-solving and strong interpersonal skills to help improve the lives of individuals in a more direct way.
After graduating from the University of Southern California Law School in 2004,
she went to work as an associate with a litigation boutique in Los Angeles named Epstein, Turner & Weiss, P.C. As with most small firms, necessity forced her to assume a large role in all aspects of litigation from the very first day. As she strived through what the founding partner referred to as a "baptism of fire," she gained experience beyond her years and earned the admiration of her clients, coworkers, and colleagues. Her work as a civil litigator focused on representing large mortgage lenders and exposed her to a wide variety of complex financial transactions.
In 2008, Autumn moved to Colorado and became an Assistant County Attorney for Adams County, where she dedicated herself to serving the public in a variety of juvenile and family law matters before state and federal courts. As an attorney representing the Adams County Human Services Department, Autumn gained extensive experience handling dependency and neglect cases, juvenile delinquency matters and child support cases. Together with a team of legal assistants and social workers, she established, modified and enforced hundreds of child support and child placement orders each year. Managing such a high volume caseload and working with such a diverse group of people from various socio-economic and educational backgrounds reinforced her strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. While she is tenacious in her representation, she always strives to empathize with the people behind the allegations and by treating everyone with respect and dignity, she works to create effective and efficient resolutions that address the unique circumstances of each case.
Autumn's passion is helping others. Having recently lived through a period of tremendous personal change, her greatest satisfaction is in seeing others through difficult and emotional challenges and helping them thrive in spite of what can feel like overwhelming circumstance. Her mission is to show her clients that we are stronger than everything they taught us that we should fear.
